Great place to take the kids. It is by no means a "big zoo", so don't expect the same experience. It's a nice, quiet and peaceful place to get away. The visit may be shorter than what most people like, so take your time and really make it worth your while.
Great rescue, run by amazing people! Key word here... RESCUE! This is not a zoo. They save animals, surrendered animals, law confiscated animals, lab rescues, and even zoo rescues. They are housed on grounds that can get muddy, and have hills, so walking for elderly, or handicapped may be difficult. Bottom line, they are non-profit, and are the voice to animals who can't speak for themselves. Well worth a visit, to learn these amazing animals stories! It's best to visit their site or Facebook for hours, especially during poor weather.
