Keep open and push back on overregulation and airspace closures.

I would HIGHLY recommend Mid Atlantic Soaring to anyone looking to learn a new skill, or sharpen their current flying skill. 5/5 stars

The members were all very welcoming and made my expierence joining the club very pleasant.

I was very impressed by detailed communication between myself and the membership chairman while I was considering joining the club.

Dirtiest place, which was done by Mike marra

Mid Atlantic Soaring (M-ASA) is a great soaring club that operates on weekends. I joined it in 2016 after researching other clubs within convenient range of the DC Metro area. The membership is very knowledgeable and is very helpful to new members. Members are able to avail of free instruction provided by experienced and FAA certified gliding instructors known as CFIGs on 2 seater gliders owned by M-ASA. These instructors include former and current fighter pilots, airline pilots and soaring champions. Members include astronomers, NASA engineers, doctors, truck drivers, and people with desk jobs who can hardly wait to get away to fly. This club just took delivery of 2 brand new gliders ASK-21s that arrived in time for 2017 Thanksgiving. Members pay for the glider tows, and glider rental, but instruction is provided by CFIGs who are also club members, at no charge. Rides are available to the public as weather permits. Check the web site for more details on scheduling a ride.
